Floral crowns, specifically with imitation orange blossoms, were brought into vogue by the 1840 wedding of Queen Victoria, who wore a wreath of real orange blossoms, long considered a symbolic flower in wedding ceremonies. Headband styles like this one became popular in the late 1920s and carried on into the 1940s.
