These trousers are inspired by an Austrian straw hat, circa 1930s. The hat brim was embroidered with this twining wildflower-and-vine pattern, which we have reproduced along the hem of these trousers. The embroidery is worked by hand in colorful yarn and metallic bullion braid, with silver sequins studded throughout.
